"Gryphus" //Illustration Markers and Ink // 2016 // Archival Giclée Print

"There is also gold not found in rivers and washed, as in the river Paktolos, but in many large mountains which are inhabited by Griffins. These are four-footed birds as large as a wolf, their legs and claws resembling those of a lion; their breast feathers are red, those of the rest of the body black. Although there is abundance of gold in the mountains, it is difficult to get it because of these creatures.”
Griffins may be mighty beasts who hoard golden treasure, but this one looks pretty friendly and happy to see you.
All of my illustration prints are created with love and care on my Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer. They are museum-quality, printed on 310gsm Rag Photographique, which is velvety smooth, 100% cotton and acid-free, which means they will last for a very, very long time.
Sizes available:

Prints will arrive unframed, covered with a protective plastic sleeve in a sturdy recycled flat mailer with a piece of scrap chip board for extra support.
I take a lot of pride in the quality of my prints, and strive to photograph them as accurately as possible, but please be aware that every monitor is different, and it's possible that the colors in your print will differ slightly than how it appears on your computer screen.
The original of this illustration is already owned, but if you are looking to purchase an original work, check out my available originals here.
